We also offer special courses, designed to address the same kinds of issues we face teaching communications to a highly-technically-inclined student population (it is, after all, a Masters in Information Systems Management program), over half of whom are from countries where English is not the primary language.

The Technical Communicators Course

This course helps technical people make the technical understandable to a non-technical audience. That means cutting jargon, thinking visually, and looking at things from your audience's perspective.

The Multicultural Communications Course

The multicultural workforce presents special problems: both for those in the host culture and for those from other cultures. Communications issues can be especially pronounced, and can make or break teams, initiatives, and working relationships.
